Aim of Demonstrator Phase II of C3F8 Evaporative Cooling Project Plans (as defined in the SCT & Pixel Evaporative Cooling System Review, June 14, 2000):

• Simulate representative part of SCT & Pixel silicon....Thermally (include optimum scalable power compressor), in cooling channel (manifold) count, with final controls & DAQ electronics, with realistic thermal screens, tube lengths, height differences and heat exchangers.
• One eighth (6kW dissipation) - 6 SCT barrel manifolds and 16 pixel staves in 17 circuits represent similar power (5kW) & cooling circuit count (14) to outermost SCT layer.
